This site is here to help you understand what clinical hypnosis is, read about the programmes Angela Nyhuis offers across the Fraser Valley, and book a session when you feel ready. This page records the people, tools and services that went into building it.

Design and Development

Built With Pancake Digital

Fraser Valley Hypnosis worked with Pancake Digital, a web and SEO agency in the Fraser Valley, on the design and build of this site.

How This Site Is Built:

  • The site is built as a static Astro project, so each page is served as finished HTML rather than assembled on request.

  • Text fonts are served from this site’s own files rather than a third-party font service.

  • Background images are delivered in AVIF and WebP, with the original files kept as a fallback for older browsers.

  • Every page includes a skip link so that people using a keyboard or a screen reader can move straight to the main content.

Fonts, Icons and Tools

The typefaces, icon sets and software this site is made from, along with the licences they are used under.

Typography

Headings and body text are set in Raleway, Oxygen and Inter. All three were originally published through Google Fonts and are served here from this site rather than fetched from an outside service.

Icons

Icons come from Font Awesome Free 5.15.3. Its icons are licensed under CC BY 4.0, its fonts under SIL OFL 1.1, and its code under the MIT Licence. A small custom icon set carried over from the site’s original theme is also in use.

Built With

The site is built with Astro, using React for interactive pieces and Swiper for sliders, and images are processed with sharp.

Hosting and Services

Hosted on Netlify

This site is hosted on Netlify. Pages are built ahead of time and served as static files.

Alongside the hosting, a small number of outside services handle reviews, booking, form protection and visitor measurement.

Services This Site Uses:

  • Reviews are displayed through Trustindex.

  • Online booking runs through Setmore.

  • Contact forms are protected by Cloudflare Turnstile.

  • Visits are measured through Google Tag Manager.

Every page includes a skip link that jumps straight to the main content. This is ongoing work rather than a finished job, and there are still parts of the site that need attention. If anything here is hard to read or hard to use, we would rather know. Tell us through our contact page and we will look into it and fix what we can.
